Unique campground due to its location with the wolves (if not for that I would rate CT a 2). Campground was clean and had a nice swimming area. Very quiet at night which was nice. Be prepared to pay for everything extra, including showers. We found the staff to be not the friendliest we have encountered. Beware of Mt. Pleasant Road and the ridiculously steep climb to get to this campground (ask about the alternative route when you call CT; wish we had or they had mentioned it). Bottom line is that if you enjoy wilderness camping and all that it has to offer, you will like this place.

This is one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed in our 3+ years of camping. Roads and sites are all level and consisted of a hard packed gravel/sand, which made for great bike riding for our kids. Sites are very large and really spaced apart very nicely. The river is beautiful, and the campground was very quiet both day and night. The only issue we had was with the bathrooms - they are quite old and not well maintained; but considering we probably spent all of 15 minutes total in them, not a big deal. We would absolutely go back and highly recommend.

Website is a bit deceiving. The good: staff very nice, breakfast on weekends, sites are a decent size, river very nice. The not so good: swimming pond needs a major makeover, a huge tire/2 swings/2 plastic slides & a metal jungle gym do not constitute a "playground", bath house near river is closed for renovations, quiet hours not strictly enforced. If you have little ones you may want to look somewhere else; if your party is all adults and you enjoy the benefits of being on a river you will probably enjoy a weekend here.

Clean, quiet, and well maintained. The owners are extremely nice and clearly take great pride in their facilities. Restrooms were immaculate, as was the rest of the campground. Plenty to do especially if you have kids (swim, fish, playground, activity room, great roads for biking). The seasonals were all well maintained and the campground was amazingly quiet starting at 9pm and running through 8am. Sites are level and fairly spacious. Worth a visit, you won't be disappointed.

Clean, quiet, fun, relaxing. This is a great little campground. All the sites look over the pond, which is stocked with frogs and fish. If you have kids this place is a must. Restrooms very clean; owners take great pride in their facility and stop by occaisonally to make sure your needs are being met. This campground has a unique mix of guests who come in motorhomes, TTs, pop-ups, and tents. The best part is this place is super quiet from 10pm-8am.

Fun, well run campground. Site sizes vary so make sure you call and tell the owners what you are looking for. This place has sites to accommodate any type of camper. We found it to be clean, quiet, and well maintained. The beach is very rocky, yet it is great fun to walk around as the tide recedes to look for wildlife. Well stocked store, and the owners were very helpful whenever we had an inquiry. If you are considering, I would highly recommend. You won't be disappointed.

Clean, quiet, with very involved owners who constantly walk the property to make sure your every need is met. Great place for kids under the age of 12. Basketball, badminton, horseshoes, all included. Playground is nice, but could use some minor upgrades. Outstanding pond with fishing and tons of frogs that can be caught with campground supplied nets (no cost). You can also swim in the pond, however the swimming area is small (still fun for the kids though). Within 5 minutes of some nice swimming holes and 30 minutes of 2 beautiful state parks that have excellent hiking trails and swimming ponds. An absolute must visit if you enjoy peace and quiet without all the productions of most kid friendly campgrounds.

Great place with very involved owners who obviously took great pride in their campground. Nice pool, great lake with swimming and boating. Large field for playing with decent playground. Nice recreation room and camp store. Easy drive to Wells, ME (25mins). Only negative was that sites are very close together however we found quiet hours to be enforced and had very few interruptions during our stay.

Nice park amongst the trees, with plenty of shade, close to bike path. Sites are nicely spaced and fit a variety of camping needs. Nice store with mini-golf on premises. Place needs some updating of its physical structures, however restrooms were in good shape where we were.
